Im sure this has been asked many times, but I tried to search and couldnt find.

Whats the major differences b/w the 67-70 and the 71-77 727's? I know pushbutton to 65, 66 was like a "transition year" (still course 19 spline input) and lock up was in 78.
But I know there was changes b/w 70 and 71, I just cant remember what they were....lol.

Thanks

Earlier had narrow front drum bushing and pump stator, different rear bellvel spring, and the non-cushioned front servo
Also selector different for the single wire safety switch.

As stated, the big differences between '70 and '71 are the wide front drum bushing, PTK for the V8 and the controlled load kickdown servo. The 3-prong shift lever (roostercomb) for '69-'70 is different than '71-on.

The improved Belleville didn't arrive until '74.
