Greetings all,
My car has started overheating in traffic. With Woodward going going on this week it's taking all the fun out of it. It was fine last year, but I noticed earlier this year that the temp would creep up if I was idling.
Since it used to be OK, I'm thinking maybe my fan clutch is going bad. Is there any way to test this without just putting a new one on?
Or, might there be any other suggestions for a quick fix? I don't have a shroud (I know, I know, I just never got around to it because it used to be fine). Is it possible to cobble something together?
Thanks!

W it OK last year the stat may have partly stuck from sitting (pull it & retry WO it & you'll know right away) but on the clutch fan, I think you try to spin it when hot & should have some tension

I was having similar problems with my Super Bee and never considered it might be something so simple as a t-stat, it was. Now I have some other issues but thats in another post. Anyway, try the stat.
