Does the package tray have jute attached to the bottom prior to installation?
I do not see it listed in my parts book or in the Field Service Manual for the b-body cars.

I set the jute up on the tray area and then put the tray over it and it seems as though that is how it was meant to be. The spacing to the trim piece along the rear glass allows some compression to take place thus securing the tray from what I can tell.
I guess I'll cut out for the speaker holes and glue the jute to the tray before installing.
May give it some time so anybody else with input can join in before I lock it down.

I just replace the package tray on my '69 GTX and the original had the jute GLUED to the underside. The new jute was out of stock so I had to use some other material in place of the jute for now....but I did use some 3M spray adheisive to hold it in place and did cut the speaker holes too before gluing. Funny I replace the package tray on my '68 road runner and never installed any jute on it.......now I know why there was this 1/4" gap between the tray and rear window trim all those years

FYI. The package tray insulation sold by Year One, Legendary etc is WAY thicket than the originsl and causes figment issues especially on Darts.
I don't recommend buying the REM insulation. Just find a thinner replacement material.

Thanks. I ordered, glued and set it in place yesterday.

In the FSM it shows two clamps to hold the front edge down but mine are long gone. Does anyone sell the clamps or have a picture of them so I can duplicate?
