I would buy the 300 system. The Sportsman will not allow the use of the shock sensors, which is a very valuable bit of information to work with. Dyno 5583 SS/AH

Give us a call. We can help you out with whatever you need. If you are budget-oriented the Sportsman is definitely the way to go. If not restricted, I agree with Dan, the V series is unbeatable, but can be overwhelming.....

Hope we can help!

I went with the sportsman system. Will upgrade later if I out grow it. You will always get decent money back on your box when it is upgrade time. The sensors are where all the cash is at. Unlimited budget = v300, most of us racers = sportsman. I got the best deal thru Holt Race Cars for all of my Racepak items and they are great to deal with also.

I don't remember exactly, but I have driveshaft rpm, volts, water temp, oil pressure, carb fuel pressure, and 2 o2 sensors. I will eventually add pan vac and fuel pressure at the pump sensors.

I know they are nice units but I have a cheaper unit
that I can read up to 18 channels ... I read all 8 egt,
volts, fuel pressure, oil pressure, water temp, drive
shaft and G force... yeah sensors can get pricey....
i was lucky and had most of them.... forgot engine RPM

Thats one thing I learned in this sport you really cant cut any corners. I learned the hard way by blowing stuff up and doing it 3 times and wasting money. This build Im not cutting any corners.

If you can't win using the sportsman system you can't win with anything.I have the Sportsman and a buddy of mine has the 300 system in the last 6 races we have been in I have two runner ups and a win and he has had two wins you can't beat either system. The question is what do you need,I have standard system plus, single o2,oil pressure, water temp, fuel pressure and vac and its all it takes to keep me happy.

God made cold beer, good friends, hot ladies and race cars don't spit in his face by pi$$ing and moaning about how life sucks!!!

You can only use 6 channels with the Sportsman and each O2 is a seperate channel. But the 8 EGT's do not use a channel, just expensive. I love mine though. I had a Racedata before and liked it too, but they are out of business and it's for sale.
