Bobby...I would love to see you do that test!! I wonder how limited you are on the intake choice?

Ted,

Right now as far as I know... All there are for a MW/B are the Indy single plane and the Super Vic, both great manifolds but they pretty much require either a hood scoop or spacers to drop the K. If edelbrock modded the Vic's with an extra deep intake manifold bolt tap you could ( theoretically) flat mill the cast in spacers and run an RB

Does Ede even have a B based SV intake for MW heads? Or a Std port B SV for that matter.

Last I saw they didn't offer anything like this. They have the Victor 383 which doesn't really cut it on a MW head. Which to me is interesting with the popularity of the B based stroker set ups. I bought an Indy intake because there were no viable alternatives for a B engine.

The only M/W intakes for a low deck are the Indy manifolds. There is a real need for low deck intakes. I wish one of the manufactures would step up .

I briefly considered doing a dyno comparison between the Victor and Indy heads. But the Victor heads were just such a pain to work with that I gave up on the idea. I decided to just stick with the Indy heads and flog them as far as possible. I like the design concept on the Victor heads, but the execution didn't impress me.

Hughes Engines now has billet valley plates for the Victor heads. They have plates for both the B and the RB engines.

As someone who is contemplating standard port Victors, what was the hassle in using them?
