gtx69 OP super gas G Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,476	Using royal purple breakin oil on a new cam.How long before i change the oil to regular royal purple?would 10w 40w be ok to change to? 440 engine hughes cam.

mosweethemi mopar M Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 646 VA.	I put around 100 road miles ,Then went back to GTX 10-40 I think you can run up to 2500 miles . I keep it and reuse it over and over . Last three engine. All did ok!!

CompSyn pro stock Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 1,285 Pacific NW USA	1000-miles on the break-in oil. Then go with the least thick motor oil that still provides acceptable oil pressure. Start with 10W-30 and see how your accurate oil pressure gauge responds.

Also, depending on where you are in Toronto, once you have your PC account in the system, you can call your order ahead to the Toronto Amsoil distribution center and then pick it up not paying a dime in shipping cost, very cool.
