hey guys, is there an adjustment on the ignition switch on a 75 duster, maybe to the stop when the key springs back to the accessory position after starting? I just got the duster started up, after a new engine and all new wiring, and if I don't keep the key barely turned to the right after the engine starts, my msd box will lose power, and the engine will shut off. If I have the key turned over to the first accessory stage, the msd box is not lit like it should be, but if I barely turn it farther like I am going to start the car, then the light will come on. I thought maybe you have to adjust the switch so that it is at the proper location when the accessories are on. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Will

Either you have a bad ignition switch, bad wiring, or your MSD is wired wrong, start and run are 2 separate circuits.

Check your feed on the MSD if it shows 12v in start and goes dead in run check the switch, the connector on the bottom of the column and the bulkhead connector.

The switch has two ignition postions.Start and run. you need to wire the MSD to get power in both positions. You have it wired to the start curcuit only right now.
