getting ready to install my hemi in a 67 B- body from the bottom. Never done this before and it looks like the shaft from the steering column is in the way of the driver side valve cover as the car is being lowered onto the k frame. Does the steering column have to be removed to do this, or will removing the driver side valve cover give me enough clearance? It is a stock hemi with stock heads and valve covers and also it is a manual steering car.

thanks for your help.

I pull the steering column on mine. I leave the dip stick tube in place but I do take off the RH valve cover.

Thanks for your help. I think thats good advice. looks like the right valve cover is too close to the brake line. I will pull the steering column and the rh valve cover.

thanks again.
