Is there a hood from a different model car that will fit on the 68 Charger, the reason I'm asking is I have a motor with a tunnel ram and a shotgun scoop and I really don't like the looks of the hole cut out of the original hood because of the raised center-line of the hood and the indention for the turn signals. I plan on driving it without the hood until I can find something, I believe the sixpack hood scoop wouldn't work so I have to cut a hole in a hood.

Just get a 68/69 Charger fiberglass hood and hack away. It will be lighter and easier to cut. Plus nobody makes those original hoods like Mopar used to.

I am TOLD- but never tried it- that the hood from any 68-69 B-Body will work as the dimension are the same.
Like I said though- never tried it.
Fiberglass hoods are easily found though- try these guys-

They already have hoods with scoops on them.
Sell the stock 68 hood and it will probably cost very little out of pocket to do this.

Good Luck,
CC.

DC-101
Designed for your 68-69 Charger, this stock flat hood is constructed with indents for turn signals (blanked off) and hinge mount provisions are firmly molded in. Bolts included. Molded edge on all sides insure perfect fit without grinding.
