Dennis McCarty, Scott Foster, Bob George, Jeff Spring, Tranzact, A+A transmission, and Rick from Firecore 50 wires. The last 2 weeks have been dreadful to say the least, regarding my racecar. After losing 2nd gear at the last event I was at, I had, had it with the 904. Well Jeff Spring stepped forward to lend me his old 727 to finish the season with. Scott Foster went thru transmission and got it ready for install, Bob George got me the appropriate shield for safety, and Dennis McCarty helped with the install. After the install it was found that car would not engage in reverse and the transbrake would not hold in low gear. (suspect high gear drum may be leaking) , unable to see problem on typical bench build. Scott suggested to bring it to Martin so he and Rick could look thru it for a backup. While pulling the valve body out of 904 the problem with no second gear was located in a broken front band. Decided to repair this problem and attempt to finish season on 904. Installed new band, and low and behold Dennis came over Monday night to help me get this back into car. Last night I fired and took a little test drive in neighborhood. Trtansmission felt great and will be ready to rock and roll this weekend. Rick at A+A stepped up to supply me with a new rigid band at his expense. Joe at tranzact got me my billet pro brake back after looking it over and freshening(from accident trans). Finally need to thank Mr. Gorski at Firecore 50 wires for the awesome new set of wires that arrived yesterday as well. Put them on yesterday before I fired car up. I must say that the car seemed more crisp on start up and did not crank as long to fire. hanks you to all that have helped me try to salvage this season.
