I just installed all new brake lines and proportioning valve. I couldn't help but notice the close proximity of the headers to the brake lines, about 2" there abouts. Should that be a concern ??? I'm thinking so. What do you guy's do ??? I'm thinking about a thin piece of aluminum or would that just collect and radiate the heat ???

A shield should work, have you considered wraping the close areas with heat tape?

I've thought about a aluminum heat shield with a stick on Thermo-Tec sheet. and I have some DEI hard bendable heat shield tube. I'm wondering what others do. Or is it even a problem ? Is 2" clearance normal for header to brake lines ???

2" is tooo close IMO. A combo of a shield and heat/header tape is a good idea.
