I would be interested in one that would take a stock dash pad.

Dumb Question #1- 68 had the lower dashpad. Would it have that? Dumb Question #2- Would the "sweeping" style gauge cluster area be changed to accomodate round gauges like most racers and restomod guys would want??? The reason I ask about the dahpad is if it doesn't have it, a one year only deal, guys with 69-76 A-bodies (such as myself) may be interested moreso. Personally, I don't care about the ashtray or radio, it can be blank/delete, the area for an HVAC controlhead would a nicety. Thanks

Thanks for your Doc. I was hoping for you to chime-in (more in a technical sense) because in your day you made a respectable product. All I can assume is the cost will be very reasonable especially if he does a handful. I am not going to get into the business side of this. Again, just looking for suggestions and possible interest.
HB ... THX for the words ... but he has not thrown around any pricing ? Honestly ...I was going to make ANOTHER mold or two and start making them MEself. But I certainly don't have the market cornered on making FG parts !! But the cost is a major factor here .... there was a guy who came on here maybe 8 or so months ago saying he was going to make a dash ...at a cost of something like 400 beans ... yeah right ....
I did mine MAKING the pad as part of the mold. Also .. on the mold(and the finished part) .... the center of the dash was nice and flat and all filled-in so you could put a line of gauges across the whole dash.

Good questions/points...I would consider having a more 'universal' dash molded. Would it be ea$ier to make (read cheaper) I would think without the lower pad bulges? I am unfamaliar with all the different style dashes. Does anyone have decent full-view pics of different styles they could post AS AN ATTACHMENT please?

Here is what I did to mine... I think a repop similar to this would be ideal. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=6695982&Main=6655818More show than race obviously. It is a '68 frame, and I didn't like the lower pad, so I welded the holes shut. Also, got rid of the ash tray. I am getting a dash pad frame to cut up to go around the cage, then will have it recovered.

Sean,
There really isn't any "different styles" to the 67-76 A-body. 68 had the one year only bolt-on lower dashpad and then there was the 67-69 Barracuda and Demon cluster with round gauges. Of which it was a blot-in too. Some variation on the heater/ac/radio styling. The basic metal structure was pretty much the same from 67-76. From a racers tandpoint, I would think it's pretty easy to come up with a common piece.
Thank you Dean. I did have someone ask me about having the Rally dash done in 'glass. Does anyone have a good Rally dash pic? Can I assume the 'demon' with round guages is the 'rally'? Those of you who have posted pics of 'glass' dashes, could you please give me more details; like where did you buy it? do you like it? would you have one made any differently? how much? what was the time turn-around? etc...
