".....the first truck already has a power rack and pinion front with disc brakes and a 4 lug ford rear(gettin yanked for an 8 3/4) it also has some ford 6 cylinder in it with a duraspark ignition and a weird auto trans with a removable bellhousing....."
The guy who started on yours must have been related to the PO of my 37. When I bought it had not only the Mustang II front suspension (fortunately a well installed aftermarket crossmember). They had also used an entire Mustang II drive train 2.8 V6, C3, and 8” 4 lug rear end (and for some reason had butchered the firewall).
I’ve finally got mine back in the shop and am putting a proper MOPAR drivetrain in it.

i will go with 1940----the clue is those little style lines on the trailing ends of the fenders---plymouth only did it one year--1940--39/41 and following years are all smooth----bob
They are later than 1940. My dad's '47 has the style lines on the fenders. The 1940 "cross" grille didn't follow all the way down, instead had chrome horizontal trim that followed the steel portion of the grill.
Like this:
They are definately '41+ but i'm not sure how to distinguish those years apart.

A '47 Dodge: 1947 Dodge

The trucks with one wiper are 41s since all the 47s I've seen have 2 wiper blades. My 39 has one wiper blade.
