Are they stuck on or bolted? I believe the 70 roadrunner emblems on the rear quarters have studs and nuts. I wasnt sure about the satellite on the 70 fenders.
Also whats the deal with the trim on the 70 satellite quarter scoops. I've seen some 70 satellite with them and some without them. Was it a sport satellite thing?
Thanks for any help .

Satellite emblems are bolted on the fenders. The rr style on the quarters are bolted on also. On the scoops, do you mean the trim that fits in the front of the raised opening? Sort of a boomerang type shape? My 70 had them. If you mean a stainless trim, then I have no idea.

Hi,

The emblems are attached with studs and an acorn style nut. I believe they are called a speed nut since they cut the threads into the stud.
The "C" chrome piece in the quarter panel scoop is unique to the 1970 2 Dr "Sport" Satellite only. It is held in place in the same manner as the fender emblems.
2 other items unique to the 70 "Sport" Satellite, among a few others, are the lower rocker molding and the wheel opening molding.
The rocker molding is not only narrower than the GTX/RR except it has special cutouts at each end to overlap the wheel opening moldings which are flattened at the bottom allowing for the overlap.
The rocker molding also has it's own plastic clips and a metal one at the front fenders which are near impossible to find. The "c" molding also has a special plastic diamond shaped "backup" that goes inside against the quarter panel over the studs and under the nuts.
While the "C' moldings are specific to the 2 door the rocker and WOM's are the same as the 4 door.
