I have a eddy 750 electric choke carb on a 440. I changed the guts to a manual choke carb has according to posts on here 2 years ago. I have had trouble with it starting especially in hot weather. I blamed it on eddy carb and evaporation till now. I thinks it is flooding out real easy, can smell a little gas. Any ideas? THANKS DAVE

It's a combination of the ethanol in the fuel and that particular carb .

Next time b 4 you crank it see if the A/P still has a squirt (evap-lean) or misting (bad needle/seat-flooding). Recent prob or day 1. Spacer will prob benefit the evap if hood clearance allows. needle/seat assy's avail seperately
