Getting very anxious about finishing my turbo build and I would like to know what you guys think its gonna run in the 1/8.

The powerplant

stock 76 318 85XXX miles
old torker II intake
650 Holley
GT45 turbo 69mm wheel with a 1.05 A/R turbine(very laggy I know)
air to air intercooler
10lbs of boost on 114 or a mix of 93 and C16

Stock converter for now, planning on going with a glide

The car:
67 Valiant sedan
3100# with me before the turbo stuff, probably 100#'s heavier now
3.55 gear and 26" tall tires, although I plan on going with 28's when I buy tires again

I'm really hoping for 7.20's-7.30's out of it....am I expecting too much?

I think your expecting too much.

My 318 on 7 lbs with a stock converter, 3.55's, 26 inch Drag Radial ran high 7's. Took 13 lbs to go 7.40... a converter (or transbrake) makes WORLDS of difference in the first 60 feet which is critical in 1/8th mile racing.

11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.

9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

I may end up springing for a better converter if I have the money before the motor goes in. What would be a good budget converter choice?
