Thanks all for looking! It was $280 shipped to my door. I sent them the rockers only. They put bushings in them, reamed to fit new hard chromed shafts. They put in adjuster screws and jamb nuts, spacers and shims so the assembly could bolt right up. I had to change a few shims so some of the push rods would have enough clearance in my Edelbrock heads. I just finished installing them. By this week-end that motor will be ready to rock! My car is a 69 Roadrunner. The engine is really a mild built 451. I had it dyno'd on some portable deal at a car show last year. It showed about 435 hp/495 torque at the crank. Don't know how accurate those things are, though. I calculated 10.3:1 compression. I have a XE274 cam which seems pretty good for street romps and cruising. It's more than enough to get me in trouble. I had to tear into the motor because of an oil burning problem and found 3 bad full roller rockers in the set I had purchased a couple of years ago. That's why I looked for the Cranes. No more needle bearings for me! Here's a pic of my car.

Most of my oil burning turned out to be from a leaking valley pan, I bought some really nice intake gaskets and valley cover from Hughes. So, I hope not to be having that problem again. The scary thing is is that if I hadn't had the oil problem, I wouldn't have known about the dying rockers till they had gotten much worse. I had intended to go on the Power Tour this year, but couldn't get everything together. Having rockers come apart somewhere on the way to Detroit would make for a very bad day-although I know others have had worse things happen.

Don't know how old your Crane rockers are.. But double check their tips that contact the valve stems for wear after installing..
Before Crane went bankrupt they produced several lots of defective rockers that were not hardened properly.. I complained to Crane back then but they gave me the sunshine treatment..
The Cranes went in the dumpster, we installed Harland Sharp, never looked back..
There's nothing wrong with the rockers, it was the adjusters and this was like 10 or more years ago. I hope you didn't throw away the rockers.

A little clarification for the record at least in my case.. It was about 5 years back, problem was the rocker tips, not hardened properly not the adjusters.. Also Crane sold these through Mopar Performance as well.. I confronted one of their engineers @ SEMA and he finally acknowledged the issue..
