Bought some .810 bars from a guy on racing junk. tell are stamped left and right. Question how to tell front from rear. There is yellow dots at one end on each.

See if the L and R on are both ends, if not install them so you can read them from the rear of the trans. crossmember

Just ran out to the garage to check. They have an 446R and a 447l on each end.

Torsion bars have no front back. just a left right. pop 'em in and enjoy!

go under google and type in torsion bar tango, there is a great article and pictures, it explains left and right twist, etc

THANKS. I got one out to night other one i will have to make a tool to get it out or better than 2 1x2's screwed together.Heyit got yhe first one out. Spent an hour getting the converter in. guess it won't be fired up tomorrow night unless the calvary shows up.

odd number part numbers install on the driver side (left) and even number part numbers install on passenger side (right).

Bars are done engine in today and it runs. Drove it in the trailer and sounded greaT. Headed to the strip tomorrow.

Did you have hard time to install the seals?

I've just ordered a second set from Mopar because they have both teared at the molding line when trying to installthem. Themanufacturing date was 2011 but the rubber feels like it is 20 years old...

No they were still plyable.But i had a friend that had a new set if i thought i needed them.
