Sunday, June 12th, I raced my '69 Dart at the Gasser Reunion at Beaver Springs. I ran B/Hot Rod Eliminator, the 11.00 second and higher ETs ran B class and the 10.99 second and lower ETs ran A class. In the final the A winner and the B winner ran off for the the eliminator and I was lucky enough to win the eliminator. In the winner's circle there were nine photographers for various publications and a gentleman from company that had video taped the entire race asking me post race questions (think Steve Evans) while video taping. It was really cool, it was the most press I have ever seen for a race that I have attended. It was great.

We ran PRO tree and in the final I had a .027RT and ran a brake dragging 11.725ET at 108.52MPH on an 11.72 dial to a breakout by Mike Harpster in his '66 Mustang. In the semi-final I also ran an 11.722ET at 112.35MPH on an 11.72 dial with at .030RT. I had a great day on the tree and the car was on the number. Those are the fun days! In this picture in the winner's circle I am flanked by Earnest McIntyre (Gasser Magazine Editor) and "Ohio George" Montogomery (of the '60s gas class fame). It was a great day.

Thanks Jim, I am running Friday points at Beaver Springs so I probably won't make the Chrysler Carlise race this year. You should come up to the York US30 Nostalgia Nationals at the Beav that Sunday, I will be there for that show. There are always tons of NSS Dodges and Plymouths, it is a great show. I will be running Jr. Stock and Nostalgia ET on Sunday. I will let you know if my plans change about the Friday race.
