Daaco converters are stock replacement IIRC.A local trans parts house or maybe a speed shop should be able to get them.
I went to my local transmission shop and he got me a Daaco the next day for $95.

Are Torque Converters made of gold?
Yes they are. Gold is selling today for $1542. Therefore a typical 25 pound Torque Converter is worth over $600,000. I'll sell you one for $500,000. My loss/your gain.
The best Torque Converters are made of Platinum and worth much more than the garden variety gold ones.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
