...main jet .095.
...if you change just the rods from .068 x .047 to .065 x .047 will it richen the cruise, wot, or both?

Not likely enough difference in dia between the two rod sizes to matter much. You would need to go + or - about 8 sizes on a metering rod step to equal one jet size difference.

Dave are 8 sizes in effect(.001" X8=.008") as there's only a handfull of rods in eddy's kits & the're not graduated in thousandths. in other words would going from a .077" cruise step to a .069" b richening it 8 sizes?

3 steps: small "power" tip on the end, "cruise" is next step up that's somewhat larger then the even larger main shank dia up to/including the L bend at the top

That is right Robert; The smaller the id or step on the metering rod
the richer the circuit becomes. A smaller rod id lets more gas through
the jet.

Dave I'm not grasping how 8 sizes diff on a rod dia (.008" right?) equals 1 jet size as I had went from .095"'s to .098's jets on my 1406 (a 3 tho diff). What am I missing?

It's not the same thing; try tuning with jets vs metering rods with a Carter using both and you will see how this is.
