Hey guys,
Well, we fixed the wilwood rear brakes. First up the one for the flanged bearings 140-0260-B, that we bought will not work with strange housing ends
, you must use the snap ring bearing set up part #140-5255-B. Second the sorry bastageds, the register on hats is 3.06, while a strange mopar specific axle is 2.782”, so we had a machinist lathe down two adapter rings.
Third is machining the 1/2 inch bolt holes to fit a 5/8 axle stud.
Having roasted all day assembling all of this stuff,, we finally have everything right.
$68 for the snap ring brackets, 60 for the snap ring bearings, and $300 to machine all said parts and press off and on bearings.
OK sorry for the rant but its either this or buying a plane ticket to Cali and beating someone with a baseball bat.
I post pics of the adapters later. John
