I'm trying to install this kit with one of Andy's throttle brackets on a 360 in my son's '77 warlock.Do I have to drive that stud out of the throttle bracket to install the Bouchillon cable bracket?I'm afraid I might screw up this stud driving it out?

Depending on how you mount it, you may have to clearance the side of the bouchillion bracket.

At wide open throttle is the kickdown lever on the 727 supposed to be extended as far as it will go?
The way I have this adjusted the kickdown lever has about a 1/4" more travel before it stops with the carb wide open.

Yes, it should be all the way back at WOT. How are your shift points?

We don't have the truck fired up yet just swapped in the 360 out of the dart.
The previous owner didn't have the factory linkage hooked up and my son had to manually shift the tranny.I hope the tranny isn't hurt from the linkage not hooked up.

Adjust it so that the kickdown lever starts moving as soon as the throttle is applied and be sure it is all the way back at WOT. When you get it running take it for a ride and see if the tranny shifts as it should. Under light throttle my 727 is in 3rd by like 30mph.

If your shift points are not right make small adjustments at a time to the cable until you get them where you need them. Worked for me. I have the same cable on my car.

The factory linkage leaves a little bit of travel with the carb at WOT, adjusting at WOT will often result in late light throttle upshifts.

John,
I've adjusted the Bouchillon cable bracket as far back as it will go and there's just a very small amount of travel left on the 727 lever with the carb at full throttle.
