I am swapping my electric pump out for a mechanical, but I am running into pulley alignment issues and I'm about to pull my hair out.

What pulleys do I need in order to get them to line up?? The crank pulley is about 1/4" further out than the water pump pulley.

I have a MegaBlock, Mancini Alum pump housing, and an ATI superdamper balancer. My lower pulley is a new Bouchillon. The upper pulley is factory Mopar.

Ok, So I just called ATI and they informed me that their balancer is not designed for factory pulley alignment. They know it sticks out too far, but they do not have the exact dim recorded.

How do you suggest I space the water pump out to match?

The issue with proper spacers becomes loosing the pilot action from the WP shaft & the pulley/fan... Hard to believe ATI still doesn't bother to get the pulley mounting surface at the proper dimension...

You'll need to get the DMI lower pulley from Mancini (shorter of the two listed) and a 2" long crank bolt. You should already be using the longer 2" crank bolt with the 3-ring balancer. If not, buy it at Mancini, too.

You'll need a 2" shorter belt because the DMI pulley is smaller in diameter than the stock pulley.

You'll also need longer pulley bolts because the flange on the DMI pulley is thicker than stock. I believe I ended up using 5/16" X 1-3/4" hex flange bolts. The pulley should work OOTB (mine did) but if it needs to be machined there is plenty of meat on the flange.

I run this exact set up on my car so I know it works.

They do. You just need to use the less effective 2 ring balancer they sell. Guys that want to use the better and cheaper 3 ring balancer just need to do a little homework.
