looking for mufflers for my 67 Hemi B Body. I don`t want anything that is obnoxiously loud, but I dont want something that is so quiet I can hear the windows rattle. Something with a good sound slightly louder than stock. It is a stock 426 Hemi.

Thanks

Pretty sure those are what's on my Hemi Roadrunner...did the exhaust in 1988. Full 2.5" from headers to the factory chrome tips, and the sound is perfect: not too loud, but you always know it's running. Not tinny, no drone, and it sounds like the gates of Hell have opened at WOT. That one's 438" & has a pretty big cam.
I also have them on a 446" Wedge '63 Plymouth, Max Wedge cast manifolds & exhaust, 2.5" tailpipes; that car's a bit quieter but still sounds strong.

Actually 17748 is the right one.

You want offset inlet & center outlet not offset/offset.

Wow! They don't sound nearly so tough with my 318 Poly in front of them!

When I first had them installed I thought they were a little too quiet but after 50K miles or so they have a strong mellow tone. Two Gearheads in a Grand Junction Quality Inn told me the truck had "just the right sound". They don't drone at highway speeds either.

I used Accurate exhaust on my stock 68 Hemi. The mufflers are the upgraded ones that have a bit more agressive note. This is also through the stock style resonators. I like the sound as I can still listen to the radio or have a conversation inside the car at highway speeds.

drive by video

short burn out

Good luck

I'm watching this thread. I have the TTi 3 inch system on my 528. It is TOO LOUD. I have a solid cam, Barton built, 700+ hp system I want to hear some of my thoughts...
