Im in a little bit of a pinch. Trying to get my 68 GTX convertable tribute ready for paint by July first and took the hood and had it stripped. Needless to say they warped it behond repair. They are going to pay for a new hood but cant find a 68 GTX Road Runner hood, thats nice that is. So what im wonderind is if anyone has used the AMD hoods and how good do they fit and are there any problems with them. I know they do a 68 and 69 but use 69 top skin. ANy imput appriciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used the 69 AMD RR hood on a customers car, the scoop inserts fit very well,...overall the fit and finish of the hood was just as good as factory

I used an AMD hood on my '69 RR and Troy said it was extremely nice, didn't have to do any tweaking anywhere. I wouldn't be afraid of getting one for your car.

I've heard the holes in the framework to mount a 1969 airgrabber box are larger than an original. thus requires some creativity to install an airgrabber box on one

I just put one on my 70 Challenger. Fits great! Only issue I found was where the Hinge nuts are welded on were not centered in the Opening. I had to use a Drimmel and cutting bit to open the metal up. I had checked and got all great revews before I bought mine also! It is on now and will be painted soon.Their is a member on here who sells them at the best price.
