pull each axle back about a foot and I'd suggest using the gasket (Felpro RDS 6583) rather than messy silicone and use eng oil on both sides of it & clean the mating faces on housing/3rd member. Get a $5 needle attachment for your grease gun & as MFL said lube the bearings. It MAY be a good time to R&R the seals if you are comfortable w that & it takes some care/practice to get em right as it's harder than it looks to get em perfect and if so when you reinsert the axles wrap the splines tight w some brown paper from a grocery bag and slip the splined end past the seal then pull the paper back out. EDIT only difficulty is keeping the bearing flange w the 5 holes coming out/going in evenly as it is not loose on the splined studs. Large screwdriver to keep it even when coming off and pin punch to tap it down/on evenly when going back in.
