I have only made minor changes to the outboard baseplate screws on any of my stuff, but it did help after upgrade of cam. (had to turn each of the 4 outboard screws less than half a turn for me) I converted an old mixture adjustment tool, the 45 degree ended kind with knob on top, so that it could get in the 6 pac end carb recesses while on the car! works nice.
