I installed the under-alternator kit from BPE on my 69 charger. I used their hose and condensor kit as well. I bought the mastercool hose crimper to make the hoses. It worked great on the -6 and -10 hoses but not at all on the -8 discharge hose. I tried making two -8 hoses and both times it made bad looking crimps that didn't seal, maybe I got a bad die. I ended up using aeroquip braided hose for the -8 discharge hose (it runs under the car and is not really visible). It was pricey but worked great. I would recommend the aeroquip hose for this setup if you don't mind the look. I left the drier in the factory location because there isn't much room between the radiator support and grill on a charger because of the vacuum, headlight assemblies. Overall the system works great and can get down to 16°F on a 65°F day. Having the compressor under the alternator makes it harder to work on the a/c (more work to get out, hard to get to the fittings), but it does look cleaner.
