Has anyone ever run a electric fuel pump with a hi performance mechanical pump in the same system? Its on a mild bracket/street car, I have a BG HR220 and i'm looking for some security in a mechanical pump for long term driving or long trips. I dont want to get stranded with my electric pump. Any experience or opinions?
Derick, you should be just fine with a high volume mech. Theres 1 (carter) that doesn't require a Reg. that puts out good volume, Mancini racing sells them, the one i'm useing does require a reg., this should be all the pump you'll need for even a mild stroker, hell i ran 12.5s with a house pump & never starved for fuel.
Here it is.
