But if it does prime the fuel rail for that 3 seconds, it will do it once untill the pressure bleads down.

If it does prime and crank over but will not start, pull the disrtibator cap and see if the "rotor" rotates while cranking. If not, broken Timing belt could be the cause. VERY COMMON! Unless its a highly modified 2.2/2.5 with a high CR and high lift cam, they are a NON interferance engine and all should be ok if the belt breaks.
