It takes longer to pull AND reinstall the intake by the time you get done with the wiring, throttle linkage, gasket cleaning and pan cleaning. He just wants to swap out some lifters. What I didnt say last time was the fact that sometimes the lifter will not pass through directly above that lifter due to rough castings but I have always just passed it to the known wide enough passage and put them in the same way.
Its a "no-brainer".
