The radiator "cooler" is also a HEATER ... in fact lots of later model trans-combos will not operate properly uNtil the ATF is up-to-temp.

The only motor-vehicle-combo I could think-of that you would not want to use a radiator cooler/heater would be a all-out race-car or a towing/RV combo.
