dirt,

Just curious. When you have painted with the fenders, hood, trunk, brackets and latches in place and you need to readjust, how or what is done to minimize the cracking or chipping when you break loose those painted nuts and bolts? Do you then spot paint those areas or simply touch them up with brush?

Yes, I was wondering the same thing????

Ditto here. I would imagine for instance the engine compartment goes somethig on this order:

Paint the engine compartment with the fenders and hood off. Install the fenders and hood then align everything up and checki the gaps. Then mask off the area from fender to fender. Paint the fenders and hood with bolts in pace? I'm not a body guy but wanted to have a hand in doing this kind of stuff to my car with the help of someone who is a body guy. I myself, would want to have my hand in restoring my car instead of just forking out $$$ to have someone else do it all. I dont mine paying a shop as long as a deal can be worked out that I can help in the restoration of it. Hope that makes sense..lol
