Since i did this I went to a 120 amp alternator and put relays on my (80watt) headlights and line lock. I fried my dimmer switch because the headlights drew to much power so the need for relays. I also replaced the wiring from the relays on. The mod to the dash worked just fine. All my other lights are LEDS.
