Now I'm getting confused, if we need to have 6 volts for the lights and assessorries,and 12 volts to start, won't hooking the two 6 volt batteries together make it 12 volts , or just a 6 with more amps? I know my electric lift with 8 - 6 volt batteries is 48 volt system now I'm wondering about the tar top suggestion .
