I understand now. I thought that the lower the resistance the better. I am done tonight but I will buy a new pickup coil tomorrow on my way home from work just in case the AC is too low. I need to spin the motor by hand and watch to make sure the dist rotor is moving too. It appears that I need to focus on the internals of the dist tomorrow night.
