Does the 950 have jet extensions in the rear? IMHO the 950 is to much carb. My pump gas 344 ran 7.30s in the heat and low 7.20s in good air with the same intake you have, a 750 and a hydraulic cam that was 237/242 @ .050. The car was 3300# with a 4400 rpm converter and 4.30 gears. The carb was a Quick Fuel Q-750, power valve in the front only, the jets were 72f/78r. The heads were ported Edelbrocks.
