It looks to me like the SMR valve body will work with the lock up since they want to make sure it is matched to the year of the trans, I may be wrong but that is the way it apears on there site.

If the VB has lock up elimintated you will still need a LU converter because the input shaft is different, the lock up will just not lock up.
