I had PS on the car didn't have to ding anything. Going to Manual this spring. It really helps if you pull the column...and as for TTi's... well 1. they are very very expensive and 2. they are not prone to a little beating either. many people have had issues w/ them.
Best advise I can give you is TAKE YOUR TIME and don't over-tighten the bolts. I left all my ex-mani studs in!
