The center filler has a step in it and also has an internal metal "c" channel that runs the length of the piece...The C channel fastens to the top edge of the bumper and holds it in place...That piece would be a pricey part to manufacture...So when you're on the boneyard hunt not only does it first need to be straight but the metal c channel needs to be intact or there's no way to keep it on the bumper... ...I gave up on finding a suitable piece that was'nt made of gold and made up my own...



Heck, even if someone made one where the middle section was held onto the bumper with double sided adhesive tape I'd be happy!
