Drag racing could've used a few more Tom Hoovers. Met him at a match race at the Motorplex in the eighties, showed me and my son around the car. Strapped the boy in for pictures (he STILL has photo, framed, in his den), and on top of all that, a year later at the national event, Tom remembered us and greeted us by name. The kind of racer you couldn't help but pull for. Thank You Tom.
