I'm switching my 67 Chrysler 300 from dual quads to a single quad. Right now it has a single plane dual quad intake and an Eddy Performer front carb (primary...and 600 CFM) and a Carter rear carb (secondary and not sure of the CFM rating). I figure the Carter is somewhere in the 600 CFM range too...That's a total of around 1,200 CFM of carburetion.

Anyway, for a variety of reasons. the dual quad set-up is a pain...I finally decided to make the switch to a single big carb...I've got most of the parts already but I'm worried I may have gotten TOOO much of a carb.

My car is a 67 300 with a pretty much stock 440 Hi Po engine and TTI 21/2" exhaust with H pipe.

IS 800 CFM too much carb for this set up?? My reasoning for getting the 800 CFM Thunder was that it is supposedly Not an emission carb like my 600 CFM Performer is AND with dual quads, 1,200 CFM is available with both carbs open.
