I run the XE262H Comp Cam in my 383, 727,, 2200 stall, 3.73 gears. Pulls good thru 5600 RPM's. I shift at 5700. For me it's a little on the small side. With a 400 I'd go with the Comp Cam or Voodoo 268. That would make a fun street cruiser.
