With the new engine we are using NGK's and need to change hte plugs every run to read them. We were told to have the platinum 2/3 burnt off the plug. You can tell if the timing is good also by a small burn mark going up the neck of the plug.

What confuses me is what EGT i should have. Depending on who i talk to its anywhere from 1050 to 1250?????? That a big difference!

What was weird about our engine was one side was reading to rich where the other side was almost to lean.
