Nothing wrong w/ a 9". I'd think it'd be cheaper in the long run. If you have the 8.75 complete w/ gears and all use it. But if you are starting from scratch I'd go w/ a 9". You can oreder them in any lenght. I'm guessing you will backbrace either?
