the sad thing is that since the bores where so nice and clean before boring i have a feeling that these pits come from the waterjackets and that all the bores may be way to thin and that the block may be to week to be safe to use even with sleeves, but i will have a word with them tomorrow again and see for myself how bad it looks and what can be done



Why would you think that ? The sleeve is made of a better material and is uniform in thickness , it's better that the original material the block is cast from. Even if they hit water you can seal the inside of the block and not have any issues .
