Drilling & reaming the oil gallery, the steps necessary prior to driving/pressing in the copper tube, generates many ferrous turnings & debris. Drilling the oil passageways into the copper tube generates many copper turnings. Enlarging the oil feed lines [recommended by Mopar] generates even more debris.

Only you can decide if this "easy" operation requires an engine teardown/block scrubbing step.

Also, you may find that the tools provided in the Mopar kit do not exactly "fit" your particular engine block casting [for various reasons] & it is necessary to invest in more precise tooling in order to finish the job.

When you consider these minor complications, the option of investing in a different set of solid roller lifters becomes the more economical choice....
