Let me apologize for asking such a dumb question, but if you jack the car up like the OP said he did (and I am assuming he didn't jack it up under the diff, sorry if you did), what would prevent the shackle from pointing forward? If I put mine up on jack stands, under the frame in front of the tires, I'm positive my shackles point forward too. Wouldn't the weight of the diff, with tires off the ground, cause the springs to "bow" down, pulling the shackles forward?

I have the same set up as Caper, and am trying to get the most out of my set-up too.
