Quite a few Plymouth/Dodge cars were available with police packages over the years.

K-cars, Valiants, Aspen/Volares, A-1 series vans, station wagons, even the Chrysler Newport (in 1962).

They weren't always just big engines either, some police packages were available with /6 and 318s during the bigblock years.

Often times police packages received extra spot-welds, PS coolers, heavier alternator and wiring, different engine pieces (for durability, not performance), sometimes extra gauges, sometimes a 1st gear blockout on the shifter linkage. And the CERTIFIED speedo, of course.

A police package is just that - a whole engineed package, not just an engine. The above info is based on 2 Mopar-exclusive policecar books that I have read (some of you know those books, too )
